Man shot in Cranebrook

An investigation is underway after a man was shot following a brawl in Cranebrook.

Police were called to the intersection of Pendock Road and Progress Way, Cranebrook, just before 8pm following reports a group of men were fighting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 38-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his neck. He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital.

Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Initial inquiries suggest a black and white KTM motorbike was seen leaving the scene. Police would like anyone who may have seen the bike in the area to contact police via crime stoppers.
