A man has been charged after police uncovered a hydroponic cannabis house in Werrington yesterday.
Just before 7am on Tuesday, officers from North West Metropolitan Enforcement Squad – Penrith, attended a home on Gibson Avenue and executed a search warrant.
Inside, police allegedly located cannabis plants and a large hydroponic setup inside the house.
A total of 110 cannabis plants and hydroponic equipment was seized by police. All items will undergo forensic examination.
A 30-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Penrith Police Station.
The man was charged with cultivate prohibited plant – commercial purpose, and steal electricity.
He was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court today.
