vibePolice are seeking public assistance after a bag containing a life-saving insulin pump belonging to a 15-year-old boy was likely stolen last night.

About 6.55pm today on Tuesday, the boy was at soccer training at Potters Fields on Shepherd Street, Colyton, when it was noticed his satchel bag went missing while he was on the field.

Inside the bag was a black coloured Animas Vibe insulin pump, which the boy has to use every two hours, as he suffers from type-one diabetes.

The equipment will not be of any use to someone who does not require it.

The bag itself is described as a black and blue coloured Adidas satchel bag. It also contained a white Apple Iphone 6 and a pair of gloves.

Police believe the bag was stolen, however there is also a possibility it was picked up by mistake.

Police are urging for the life-saving medical equipment to be returned as soon as possible.

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact St Marys Police Station on (02) 9677 7499 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
