Concerns raised after children followed

Police are appealing for witnesses after children were approached in St Clair on Sunday afternoon.

About 4.45pm on Sunday, seven children aged between seven and 12 were playing around Solander Drive and Rotorua Road, St Clair, when a man approached and spoke to them.

As the children walked away from the man, he followed them.

One child, aged 12, became afraid and walked home informing his mother, who called police.

Officers from St Marys Local Area Command commenced an investigation.

Police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with inquiries. He was described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 20 and 30, approximately 175cm tall, large build, short black hair and crooked teeth.
