Trio arrested at Kingswood

Three people are in custody after two teenage boys were robbed while travelling on a train this afternoon.

About 12.15pm, two 16-year-old boys were travelling on a train between Mt Druitt and St Marys when they were approached by two females and a male.

The trio, all aged 17, have threatened the boys and took a small amount of cash from them.

The boys got off the train at Werrington and raised the alarm.

The trio were arrested at Kingswood Railway Station after one of them was spoken to about an unrelated matter.

They were taken to Penrith Police Station where they are assisting with inquiries.
