Homicide Squad detectives have today arrested a woman in relation to the stabbing death of a 15-year-old boy at Minchinbury last year.
Hayden Burnes, 15, suffered severe stab wounds at an industrial estate at Marieanne Place, Minchinbury, about 8.30am on Monday, December 5, 2011, and died as a result of his injuries.
Strike Force Lemongrove was formed to investigate Hayden’s death, and is led by the Homicide Squad with assistance from St Marys, Mt Druitt, Penrith and Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Commands.
A few hours ago, police arrested a 38-year-old woman in a motel room in Toukley, on the NSW Central Coast.
The woman was taken to Wyong Police Station, where she was charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
She was refused bail to appear before Wyong Local Court tomorrow.
Two men already arrested by Strike Force Lemongrove detectives remain before the court.
Investigations are continuing.
