Weekend of carnage continues

A weekend of carnage on Penrith roads has continued with a 27-year-old motorcycle rider killed in a crash at Cranebrook this afternoon.

 

Police say that at about 1pm today, police and other emergency services were called to Vincent Rd following reports of a crash.

 

Police from Penrith Local Area Command attended the scene, where they found a Honda CBR 600 motorbike had collided with a tree.

 

A 27-year-old Cranebrook man was found deceased at the scene.

 

An investigation is underway into the circumstances surrounding the incident, and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.

 

The accident follows another motorcycle fatality just 48 hours ago.

 

About 7.40pm Friday, emergency services and police were called to the Northern Road at Luddenham following reports of a collision between a truck and a motorcycle.

 

Green Valley Police and highway patrol officers responded and found a 29-year-old male motorcyclist deceased at the scene.
