Local St Clair hairdresser Sylvana Saloum is proving age is no barrier when it comes to achieving your dreams.

Recently launching her online hair and beauty store, Strawberry Curls, Ms Saloum said after raising her two children with autism, she decided it was time to follow her passion.

“I love my kids, don’t get me wrong and I would give them the world, but I wanted something for myself, so they can look up to me and say ‘well look what my Mum did, she might not have been in her 20s, but she did it’,” she said.

To mark the occasion of her online launch, Ms Saloum is inviting all local ladies to let their hair down and attend her Ladies Night – Pink Carpet event next Saturday, September 15.

Held at The Distillery Woodfire Restaurant in Minchinbury, the night will include a three-course meal, a performance from Timba, live product demos, prizes for best dressed, a goody bag worth up to $200, and male entertainment.

But the night isn’t just about having fun, with the money raised from the live auction going to the program, Falcons Footy Kidz, Rugby League for Children of Different Abilities.

“Life is short, why do we always just have to pay our bills and do all that, come have a little bit fun and let your hair down,” Ms Saloum said.

Tickets are $119 each and can be purchased via Afterpay. To book tickets, visit strawberrycurls.store.
