A man has been charged with indecent assault after attacking a nurse at Nepean Hospital.
The incident happened last Thursday, August 9.
The 50-year-old man was a patient at the hospital.
It is alleged that the man, whilst being attended to by the nurse, indecently assaulted her and then produced a knife that he had secreted from a prior meal.
The man was arrested and taken to Penrith Police Station where he was charged and is due to face Penrith Local Court on Tuesday, September 4.
The nurse was not injured as a result.
