Penrith Council’s Australia Day event is returning to Jamison Park on Friday, January 26 from 3-8pm.

Following the success of the 2017 event, Council will again be celebrating Australia’s heritage, diversity and traditions with a family fun day in the heart of Penrith City.

Council’s event is an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate who we are, what has shaped us and the wonderfully unique and diverse country we live in.

It is also a unique experience full of fun and free activities for all ages. There will be traditional activities and games including Pavlova decorating, wood carving and hand spun crafts, as well as interactive displays and shows.

We will also have some more modern Penrith traditions like bubble soccer, face painting, amusement rides, and the return of the Swamp Dawkins bush band!

And there will also be a special live performance by family favourite, Paw Patrol!

Once you’ve worked up an appetite from all the dancing, games and excitement, you’ll have a delicious array of food to choose from the many food trucks and stalls, including burgers, Gozleme, ice cream and fairy floss. And it wouldn’t be Australia Day without a traditional Aussie BBQ.

Jamison Park is close to public transport and parking, so getting to the event is easy for the whole family. So grab friends, family and the neighbours and head down to Jamison Park to enjoy an afternoon of free family fun.
