Suspicious fire in Penrith CBD

Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward following a suspicious fire in Penrith this morning.

About 1.35am today, emergency services were called to a nutrition shop on Henry Street following reports of a fire.

Fire & Rescue NSW officers attended and extinguished the blaze a short time later; however the front of the shop was completely destroyed.

Officers attached to Penrith Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

No one was at the premises at the time and police have received no reports of injury.

Initial inquiries have led police to believe the fire was lit deliberately.

Anyone with information or any witnesses are urged to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers.
