We’ve found Penrith’s worst hide-and-seek player.

Police were called to the Penrith Valley Inn last week after reports of a break and enter in a hotel room.

Officers attended the scene at about 7pm on Thursday, January 14.

The 42-year-old male alleged offender stole a number of items including a wallet and a mobile phone.

Police reviewed CCTV footage from the Inn and were able to identify the suspect.

At about 7.30pm on Friday, January 15, police caught the man hiding in the bushes behind Penrith Police Station.

Officers didn’t have far to travel when it came to bringing the man back to the station for questioning.

He was charged with ‘break and enter’ and ‘steal’.
