Police are appealing for witnesses after a bullet hole was located at a sports stadium in Cambridge Park last night.
About 6.20pm, police responded to reports of gunshots near a sports oval in Herbert Street, Cambridge Park.
On arrival at the location, officers from St Marys Local Area Command searched the area.
A single bullet hole was found in a window of the sports stadium beside the oval.
Witnesses informed police that two groups of people were involved in the incident but fled the scene as officers arrived.
There is no evidence that anyone was injured as a result of the incident.
An investigation is underway and officers are appealing for anyone who has information surrounding the matter that may be able to assist, is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
