Best local sports teams to watch

Penrith’s leading sporting team, the Panthers play out of Pepper Stadium from March until September each year. NRL matches see the Panthers play the best teams from across the country in our own backyard. Pepper Stadium has a capacity of 22,000.

The Western Sydney Wanderers have been a huge success since entering the A-League just a few short years ago. You can see the Wanderers in action at Pirtek Stadium in Parramatta, and every now and again at Penrith Stadium, during the A-League season which runs from October to April each year.

The Penrith Emus play in the Shute Shield rugby union competition. You can watch matches at Nepean Rugby Park from April-September each year. The Emus have had limited success in the competition over the years, but always give it their all.
