A woman has been arrested at a High Street address this week over the alleged theft of a trailer from a Warrimoo home late last month.

At about 11.40am on Saturday, June 28, a number of people allegedly arrived at the Warrimoo address in a red sedan, parking out the front.

A woman exited the car and went to the front door of the home and knocked on the door.

When no-one answered the door, two people began to attach a trailer parked in the driveway of the home to the red sedan before getting in the car and leaving the scene with the trailer.

The incident was caught on CCTV footage at the home, which was examined and released by Blue Mountains Local Area Command on Monday, July 7.

As a result of police investigations, police from Blue Mountains and Penrith Local Area Commands executed a search warrant at a High Street address at around 2pm on Tuesday, July 8.

“During the execution of the warrant police located a trailer believed to be the trailer depicted in [the CCTV footage], along with other property believed to have been inside the trailer at the time it was stolen,” a representative from Blue Mountains Police said.

“Police also located other property which they believe to be stolen, and will be making further inquiries in that regard.”

A woman was arrested at the scene and will face related charges at Penrith Local Court later this month.

“This is a great example of police, the media and community working together to achieve a great outcome,” the police representative said.

Police are still carrying out enquiries and request that anyone with further information about the incident calls Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
