Police are looking for a 4WD stolen after a couple were threatened in their home at St Clair this morning.

A 27-year-old woman told police she woke when a glass door was smashed by two men forcing their way into her home on Kala Circuit about 1.15am.

One man threatened her with a handgun while the other was armed with a baseball bat. She and her husband were held in the lounge room while the home was searched.

The couple and their children, aged three years and nine months, were shaken but not injured.

The men left a short time later in the family’s grey Jeep Grand Cherokee, with NSW registration HMI-57L.

Police from St Marys Local Area Command were alerted and established a crime scene.

The first man is described as being aged in his 20s, about 180cm tall with a medium build and an olive complexion. At the time he was wearing a white, hooded jumper with writing on the front, and light-coloured track pants. He was armed with a handgun.

The second man was also described as being aged in his 20s, of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall with a slim build. He was described as wearing light coloured clothing and carrying a gold-coloured baseball bat.

The vehicle is still missing and police urge anyone who sees it to contact Triple Zero (000) and not to approach anyone in it or touch the vehicle.
