Pregnant woman stabbed

Police are searching for a man after a pregnant woman was stabbed in St Clair.

 

About 9.40pm last night, the 28-year-old woman was stabbed several times during an assault at her home on Tumut Place in St Clair.
 

The woman, who is three months pregnant, was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
 

She was treated for a punctured lung and stab wounds to her back and arm. Scans appear to show her baby is unharmed.
 

Officers saturated the area following the incident, using resources including the dog squad and Polair.
 

They are searching for a man described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his early 30s, thin build, 170cm tall, with a fair complexion and brown hair.
 

The house remains a crime scene and the incident is believed to be domestic-related.
